WeConnect Workshop

Course description

This workshop gives an overview of activating teaching strategies, so calles Active Leaning Spaces (ALS) with the use of WE-connect. Teachers will explore different didactical approaches to improve the learning process of the students by collaborative learning. 

Target Group

All teachers at Wageningen University who are interested in active groupwork.

Learning outcomes

At the end of this workshop, you will be able to  

- design a group assignment which activates student learning with help of we-connect​. 

- apply learning strategies and we-connect technology in your group work 

 

Course activities

The workshop will be given in a blended set-up containing pre-class and in c-cass activities

• Pre-class:  in which you get acquainted with the activating learning strategies, select one or more of these strategies as potentially suitable for your teaching and describe globally how you could apply these in your teaching
• In-class: You will practice with the we-connect application and design an activating assignment that can be done using WE-connect. Through peer feedback you will discuss the activating assignments designed by other participants and get feedback on your own design.

Costs

Participation is free for Wageningen University & Research staff involved in teaching WU courses.

 

Cancellation

We consider registration as final. When cancelled within three weeks before the activity starts, your chair group will be charged all costs of your subscription (€350,-).

If there are less than 6 participants in the course, Education Support Centre may cancel the course and notify you at the latest 2 weeks before the start of the course.
